NAET – Miracle Cure or Hoax, Part One

If you have food or environmental allergies, intolerances, eczema, or a variety of other health issues, you may have heard of NAET treatment.

What is NAET Treatment?

NAET stands for Nambudripad’s Allergy Elimination Techniques. According to the NAET website, NAET is “a non-invasive, drug free, natural solution to eliminate allergies of all types and intensities using a blend of selective energy balancing, testing and treatment procedures from acupuncture/acupressure, allopathy, chiropractic, nutritional, and kinesiological disciplines of medicine.”

Yet Another Alternative Treatment

It wasn’t intrigue in something new, nor was it solely the natural aspects that led us to try this very unusual treatment. It was desperation pure and simple.

My son, Tristan, is a healthy three-year-old today. However, just under a year ago, things were quite different. My son was diagnosed with eczema at three months old as he displayed the classic dry skin and small little pink patches of irritated, inflamed skin. We tried cortisone, drug store creams, and natural creams, but nothing seemed to stop his skin from getting progressively worse. We also tried chiropractics, osteopathy, and homeopathy. The latter with some luck, but not a cure-all. His case ultimately got so severe that his body was 90% covered in what looked like burn wounds. So, yes, we were desperate to help him curb the itching and to heal his damaged skin. NAET was something else to try. We searched for a local practitioner and found an acupuncturist.

  1. dry skin Rash on my Body #

The problem becomes you spend hundreds, if not thousands of
dollars on a product that is just stalling inflammation.
When bathing your toddler, make sure you prevent the soap from coming into
contact with the toddler’s eyes. People with oily skin should look for cleansing products that are oil-free.

  2. A couple days ago I went to get some acupuncture carried out for this killer stomach issue I’ve been having. This pain was terrible! Each and every time I felt my stomach begin rumbling I sprinted to the bathroom! This was when I decided to go get some acupuncture and herbal treatment. And here’s what I noticed. If you are not implementing a monthly continuity plan for your service then you’re relying on the patient to just keep coming back whenever something is bothering them. What you want to aim for is getting them to pay a particular quantity of cash per month to get “X” amount of treatments per month.

  3. Very interesting! I remember seeing a naturapath and doing something similar. Only it was a metal bar of some sort that I held, as Michael would not touch it, and different substances were tested to see if Michael was sensitive to them. I remember there to be many. If I looked through the back load of material bits I have, I am sure to find more on it. I am taking up a decluttering challenge in February, so I hopefully I will be able to find more info on that time in our life. I can’t say that it helped, as Michael continued for years to have eczema and health issues. I will be checking to read the next instalment of your Naet story.

    • Funny because I spoke to a lady today about the treatment you’re talking about. I think she’s going to do a guest post for me in March about how this therapy is different than NAET. Will be interesting. Let me know if you find more info about what you and Michael went through. I’d love to hear more about it.
